Sergey V. Gaponov

Founder of IPM RAS, Advisor at the Russian Academy of Science (RAS) since 2009.

Corresponding Member of RAS since 1994, Academician of RAS since 2008.

Major research fields: laser physics, x-ray optics, physics of thin films and high-temperature superconductivity. Author of more than 200 contributions to scientific journals, holder of 7 certificates of authorship.

Member of the Editorial Board of the «Nano- and Microsystems Technology' Journal. Member of Scientific Councils for Physics of Semiconductors, Topical Research Trends in Condensed Matter Physics. Member of Presidium of the RAS Joint Scientific Council for Spectroscopy.

Laureate of the USSR State Prize, Awardee of the Order of Friendship.

On March 5, 2012 Sergey Viktorovich Gaponov celebrated his 75th birthday. His anniversary was honored by the following publications:
